Tara Raymond Obituary

Tara M Raymond, 38

Worcester - Tara M. Raymond, 38, of Worcester, a kind and gentle woman with a huge smile passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 20th, 2019.

Tara was born, raised and has lived her life in Worcester, one of two daughters of Richard F. Raymond and Debra Ann (Pilat) Raymond. She graduated from Worcester Public Schools, attended Quinsigamond Community College and earned her associate degree from SALTER College. Tara then worked for various employers including UPS, before becoming an associate Asst Store Manager for the St Vincent de Paul Society of Catholic Charities for the past several years.

Tara is survived by her daughter and best friend, Madison "Madi" Pressey with whom she lived; her parents, Richard F. and Debra (Pilat) Raymond of Worcester; a sister, Jenna Raymond of South Boston; her maternal grandmother, Evelyn (Sarbentos) Pilat of Worcester; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

Tara was a member of St Stephen's Church and found a way to connect spiritually with the New Creation Christian Church in Worcester. She was a young woman with a great big heart, willing to help anyone who needed it, enjoying time with and so proud of her daughter Madi. She loved the beaches of Rhode Island notably Misquamicut, visiting family in Florida, jigsaw puzzles and placing everybody in her life before her. A collector of painted refrigerator magnets, from places she or her family/friends visited were displayed proudly for all to see. Tara will be greatly missed.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Wednesday, April 24th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be Thursday, April 25th from the funeral home with a procession to St Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St where her celebration of Christian burial Mass will be held at 10:00 am. Burial next to grandparents will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Flowers may be sent, or memorial contributions made to The New Creation Christian Church, 1241 Main St, Worcester 01610.

Dear Madi, Richard and Debbie, and Jenna,
I can't imagine how you're feeling losing someone as bright and loving as Tara. She was always a supportive friend to me as we shared similar experiences and struggles and both children and as mothers. She was a non-judgmental and kindhearted person who was always raving about her family and of course her pride and joy Madi. Ive been friends with her since St. Stephen's School and very little about Tara's true self has changed since then. I hope these messages of love and sympathy will comfort you.
In Jesus's name, I will pray for you all to find peace.

I remember Tara as a precocious 7 year old when she came to help with her Great Grandmother's surprise 80th birthday party at my house in Arizona; the trip we all made to the Grand Canyon and how she and her dad were going to come back and hike the canyon together one day. Even then she seemed to know what she wanted and how to go after it. She was a fireball of joy, energy, and charm with a great spirit and smile. I was so happy to see her grow into the beautiful young woman she was becoming with each of my visits to Massachusetts. Being miles apart has made contact limited, but I'm sending my heartfelt condolences and love to each of you at this most difficult time.
Love always, Auntie Sharon
