WORCESTER - Ted Benjamin "Ben" Sheffield, 21, died suddenly on Friday, September 19, 2014. Born in Worcester on October 26, 1992, he was a son of Tracy Lee Arbuckle Sheffield and William Paine Sheffield, Jr. of Worcester. He was employed by The Entwistle Company, Hudson.
Ben had a natural mechanical ability and enjoyed working on his truck and 4-wheeler. He also enjoyed snowboarding, iceboating and exploring the outdoors with his love, Nicole "Nikki" Keskula. Music had a special meaning for Ben. He listened to a variety of forms and attended concerts. Ben had dreams of traveling and exploring the country, particularly the Pacific Northwest.
Ben is remembered by his friends and family for his fun-loving nature and his ability to make them laugh.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a brother, William Paine Sheffield III; a sister, Carolyn Jane Sheffield; grandparents, Donald B. Arbuckle and Carolyn J. Arbuckle of Aurora, OH. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Paine Sheffield, Sr. and Dorothy M. Sheffield.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. The funeral service will be private. To share a memory or offer an online condolence, please visit
