It is with a heavy heart that I write this, remembering a cousin who was thoughtful and kind and who always enjoyed a good laugh. I have fond memories of times our families spent together on Elizabeth Avenue (Nancy and I trying to beat the traffic she sent to her room and me to the car), at Topsail Pond (the air horn echoing across the night to summon us back to the cottage if we were out past curfew), and the times together in Wolfville later in our lives (you were such a support Tom to our family in our times of loss). I always looked up to my big cousin Tom and still do. You were one of a kind! I am so deeply sorry for your loss Sue, Anna, Evan, Susan, and Nancy. You are all in my thoughts. Your loving cousin Jill.

Tom, you touched so many hearts. A true gentleman and a scholar. A giant among men. Your hospitality was unrivaled, your comic timing genius and your enthusiasm for life unbridled. A mentor and role model to so many of us. You shall never be forgotten. All our love and condolences to Sue and family.

Tom was such a great radiologist and wonderful teacher to us residents at UMass. He was so knowledgeable, but also patient and practical, and had such a great sense of humor. He spent hours and hours training us for our board exams. He was so kind and so generous. I have such lovely memories of time spent with him and his beautiful family. His love for Sue and his children was clear. He was a mentor, a role model and a treasured friend. I am grateful and honored to have known him. Deepest sympathy and love to Sue, Anna and Evan.

Goodbye my son,and may God hold you close until we meet again!
I am broken-hearted,lad, and only wish I had seen so much more of you.
I will miss our great phone chats, and hysterical laughter reflecting on times past,SA stories, relatives' escapades, musical memories, and of course, your Irish humoured Xmas cards and tales of Brunellos, and Pinot Noirs savoured and remembered fondly.
Thanks for phoning me on your way to the Rock for the last time, and for keeping in touch always, especially over the last 2 years-it meant a great deal to me!
There were so many vivid and rich times and memories over the years, with you and Sue on Kingsbridge Road, Rennies Mill Road ,and of course Old Topsail Rd., before you left NL.
I am so glad we kept in touch over the years!
Indeed, you enriched our lives laddie, and I loved you as a brother!
So from the Lad to the Kid,as we used to call each other on Elizabeth Ave. years ago in the heat of ping pong battle,I send much love and my deepest sympathy and condolences to your dear family-
To you Sue,
Anna and Evan.
Sue, as you know Tom was a brave intelligent and good man,and you were the love of his life!
and your Dad,Anna and Evan, loved you two deeply, and took great pride in your accomplishments.Take care of each other as time marches on.
To you Susan and Nancy, Tom was a loving brother who gave you his undying affection and never ever said no to anything you asked for.
May the Good Lord Comfort You and May
God Bless you all in your hour of sorrow.
Sincerely,
Cousin Frank, or as Tom always said to me when I picked up the phone:
"Franco my son..."

Our thots and prayers go out to the family at this time of sorrow. We pray that God in his mercy will provide a comfort to all who know and knew Tom. It is my thots of days spent in childhood with Tom playing games and in particular picking on Sue for Tom's pleasure. All these memories are part of the healing in the process of saying Good-bye to a treasured cousin.

It is with deep sadness that I am writing this message. My dear cousin Tom, always a gentleman, like his dad, will be fondly remembered for the twinkle in his eye, his wit, his gentle personality and his wisdom. Taken much too soon.

So many memories of Tom over the years that will stay with me always, but I will cherish the warmth and love we shared over countless holiday dinners, watching our kids grow up while we tried to keep the traditions the same from year to year. I will think of Tom every time I hear music by any one of a long list of musicians we both liked. A life well lived. We should all be so lucky.
