Thomas G. Economou, 52

WORCESTER - Thomas G. Economou, 52, of Worcester, died Sunday, January 6th in St. Vincent Hospital. He is survived by his daughters, Angela Economou, Amberli Alexander and Katelynn Alexander; his father, George Economou; a brother, Kosta Economou and his wife, Gail; his sister Joanna Vozikis and her husband, Christos; four nieces, Eleni, Julia. Kristina, Kendall and a nephew, Stergios all of Worcester and many aunts. uncles. cousins and friends.

He was born in Worcester, his mother was the late, Elpida (Kostas) Economou who died in 2010. Tom graduated from St. John's High School in Shrewsbury and was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. He was an avid sports enthusiast, loved golf, music, especially Bruce Springsteen. His daughter was his life and his ever present smile and happy outlook intensified whenever he was with her or talked about her. Always outgoing he will be remembered for his ability to engage in conversation, and his keen interest in sports. He will be missed by all that knew him.

His funeral is Friday, January 11th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with his service at 11:00 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. His calling hours are Thursday, January 10th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Angela Economou in care of the funeral home, to be used for her education.

So sorry for your loss. Please accept our deepest condolences during this difficult time. Tommy loved the company of his friends and knew how to have a conversation with just about anyone as he always included you in his talks mostly about the current sports. You'll be missed.
