Tyra Brown Obituary
GREAT FALLS, MT - Tyra Irene (Bloomquist) Brown, 97, of Great Falls, a housewife and caretaker, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11:30 am at Central Assembly of God. Arrangements are being handled under the direction of O'Connor Funeral Home. A remembrance service for friends and family will be held at a later date in Dudley, MA.
Tyra was born November 24, 1915 in Auburn, MA to Adrian and Anna Bloomquist. Following World War II she was united in marriage to Philip Brown and the couple remained together until Philip passed away in 1974.
She was an active member of the Central Assembly of God Church and volunteered as a caretaker. Tyra enjoyed reading, walking, bible study, and being with people. She found great joy in all children.
Tyra is survived by her daughter, Lois (Lee) Foshay of Dudley, MA; son Bob (Cathy) Brown of Great Falls; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip; parents, Adrian and Anna Bloomquist; sisters Ina and Rosanna; and brothers Rudy, Gunnar, and Felix.
Memorials are suggested to Central Assembly of God.

Lois and Bob,
I am so very sorry to hear about Tyra. My entire family and I have such wonderful memories of Tyra, from her willingness and enthusiasm when Tim and I asked her to play soccer with us, listening to tales of all her travels, and doing various art projects and playing playdoh with her. Tyra was such a beautiful woman, both inside and out. Her smile, her devout faith, and her care for us will remain bright in our memory. May God bless you during this difficult time.
