Viola Beauchemin Obituary

Viola Williams Beauchemin, 98

West Brookfield - Viola Williams Beauchemin passed away February 1, 2016 at the age of 98.

Born Viola Elizabeth Porter in 1917, she was the oldest of five, 2 brothers and 2 sisters who all passed on before her. She was widowed twice. First husband of 25 years Walter Williams died in 1964, second husband of 14 years, Austin Beauchemin died in 1995. She leaves 2 daughters, Lorraine, wife of Richard Cobiski (who was like a son) and Carolyn Puzo with whom she lived. She also leaves 3 grandsons (who she adored) Rick, Brian and David, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and the extended family of her second husband. 1st grandson, Richard Cobiski, Jr., husband of Phyllis and father of Jason, Natalie wife of Jacob Karlson & Laurie. 2nd grandson, Brian Cobiski, husband of Beth and father to Justin & Jacob and father of Nathan & Allison. 3rd grandson, David Puzo, husband of Maryann and father of Christina wife of Anthony Cotrupi, Angela & Rocky.

Viola was a hard worker, she especially loved her job at Worcester City Hospital. Like so many of us, she had to face some trials, and through them all loved her family deeply. But the best thing that can be said about her is that she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in 1994 and so we have the assurance that she will be at home in heaven. No more pain. No more sorrow. No more tears. Praise the Lord!!!

A special thank you to Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, her home for the last 18 months.

There will be a calling hour Wednesday, February 3, at 10 a.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, followed by a service in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester, will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Viola's memory may be made the Salvation Army, 72 Cambridge St., Worcester 01603.

I will always remember taking the bus with Aunty Vi to downtown Worcester when she let me choose Christmas presents for my parents and we had lunch at Kresge's and it was such a great day with such a loving person. The very definition of unconditional love.
Thanks for the memories, Aunty Vi.
Your nephew,
John Wiliams

Gram, I loved you so much for being you. You were the greatest Grandmother that any little boy or grown man could ever hope to have. You loved me unconditionally each and every day of my life and never once held anything against me. I was so proud to be your grandson and loved sharing one on one time with you over all the years but especially in your 'hot ticket' days. I know how much you loved us all and we loved you right back. You'll be missed but I'm so glad your pain is gone. I'll see you again not so far down the road and in that twinkling of an eye we will rise together to share in all of Gods glory and claim victory over death through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord, but until then...rest in peace.

Dear Aunt Vi ... you will be forever in our hearts. You were love. What a beautiful life and legacy you leave to those who loved you and that was everyone who knew you. You are precious as the wonderful memories we'll treasure forever. Nevermind our tears for now ... we celebrate you home. Give my gramma & grampa hugs for us ... The Apple Sisters are reunited!
