Virginia Dobson Obituary

Virginia "Ginnie" Lillian (Eburne) Hellmuth Dobson, 86, of Westborough died on Monday, December 27, 2010 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert Hellmuth who died in 1989. Her second husband, Robert Dobson died in March of this year.

Born in Chelsea, MA, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Lillian (Jordan) Eburne. She was a graduate of Revere High School and worked for the Revere Public Library for many years. She also worked as a proofreader for Yankee Atomic Electrical Co. for 17 years. She lived in Beachmont and No. Reading before moving to Westborough in 1969.

Ginnie enjoyed traveling and reading and visiting her good friends. She enjoyed volunteer driving for the Senior Center and was an active member of the Evangelical Congregational Church and enjoyed lunch with the "Friday Lunch Bunch".

In 2005 she and her husband, Robert Dobson, received the "Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award" from the Westborough Council On Aging.

Ginnie is survived by one son, Rich Hellmuth and his wife, Ginger, and their son Bobby of Tavernier, FL; one daughter, Nancy Strzelecki and her husband, Stan, of Cleves, Ohio; one step son, Currie Dobson of Simi Valley, CA; one step daughter, Carole Ann Bregman and her husband, Ronald, of Worcester; her favorite cousin, Dot MacLeod of Westborough and several step grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 31, at 11:00 A.M. in the Evangelical Congregational Church, West Main St., Westborough.

Please omit flowers. Donations in her memory may be made to the Evangelical Congregational Church Memorial Fund, 8 Church St., Westborough, MA 01581.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough
