Wendell Crockett Obituary
Charlton - Wendell G. Crockett, 87, of Dresser Hill Rd., passed away on Wednesday, June 8th, in his home after a sudden illness.
He leaves his wife of 30 years, Susan (Garnache) Chisholm Crockett; a son, Jeffrey D. Crockett and his wife Janet of Dudley; two daughters, Karen A. Berggren of Colorado and Kristine M. Crockett-Carros of New York; a step-daughter, Paula Harker and her husband Garrett of Winchester; two step-sons, Anthony Chisholm and his wife Wendy of Kensington, NH and Seth Chisholm and his wife Mary of Sturbridge; four grandchildren, Kristin West, Derek Gervais, Amanda Craig and Jeffrey D. Crockett, Jr.; eight step-grandchildren, Lily Harker, Quinn Harker, Ross Chisholm, Luke Chisholm, Max Chisholm, Emma Chisholm, Brady Chisholm and Julia Chisholm; and eight great grandchildren, Adam, Jordyn, Mati, Scarlet, Gretchen, Aggie, Charlotte and Ali. He also leaves his "little sweetheart", his dog, Polly. He was born in Worcester the son of George and Edna (Larson) Crockett. He was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade School.
Wendell was a serial entrepreneur, he owned and operated the E.B. Luce Corp. for 30 years. He later owned and operated Crockett Lawn Service and for several years he owned and operated the Bunk House furniture store in Charlton before retiring several years ago. He was a member of the Charlton Federated Church. He loved music and enjoyed playing his keyboard and in his retirement he played part time at various small engagements. He also played annually at the Charlton Old Home Day celebration. He was also a gifted photographer and woodworker. He also enjoyed travelling in his RV.
A celebration of life service for Wendell will be held on Saturday, June 25th, at 11:00am in the Charlton Federated Church, 64 Main St., Charlton. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Helping Hands Society of Charlton, P.O. Box 643, Charlton, MA 01507.

Oh, Sue, I can't begin to say how very sorry I am to hear about Wendell. I'll never forget my stay in your apartment and all the nice things you both did for me. I especially remember the night, broom in hand, Wendell and I did battle with the bat in my kitchen!
