Not sure what to say?

Lynn DesRosiers

It has been very hard for me to sit down and write this. Anyone who knew my Grampa knows that it is certainly not difficult to pay him tribute. Not enough words exist in the English language to even scratch the surface of what a special, unique, and one of a kind man he was. The difficulty lies in choosing the numerous words fit to describe him, trying to find those adjectives -worthy- of describing him. Sure, he was interesting, loving and devoted, passionate, driven, motivated. These and many more words can describe my Grandfather, but do not truly transcend how deeply wonderful it was to know and grow up with him in my presence, to learn through his guidance. He truly loved and appreciated life to the fullest, constantly learning and embarking on new endeavors. He was genuinely interested in not only his own interests, but the interests of those around him. I always said that if I were ever a contestant on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" that he would undoubtedly be my "phone a friend," because I honestly believe that he knew virtually everything. He obviously was the smartest man alive, evidenced of course by his choice for a bride. I not only want to say how much I love my Grampa, but also take the time to pay some credit to Roberta DesRosiers, Fran's wife, my Grandmother. Gramma, you have been so strong throughout this past year, and I can not describe how truly touching your 'forever love' with Grampa has been to all of us. Despite all that you've been going through, you have been so supportive of me in these past couple of months when I really needed a friend more than ever. I love you so much. Know that I am always here for you just as you have been there for me and this entire family.

Roberta,Rob,Karen,Daria,Jane and all members of your family. My sincere condolences, and I pray you will find peace with all those beautiful memories. I was just informed of his passing today (July 16th) by a neighbor. I no longer subscribe to the T&G and only buy the Landmark sporadically. Ironically, today is the first anniversary of my own beloved Dad's (Alfred Desrosiers) passing.

Roberta and Family,
I've just read of Fran's death in the Telegram and want to convey to you my deepest sympathy. I'm so sorry that Fran was hit with that dreaded disease and I pray that he went peacefully. Although we haven't seen one another in many years, maybe our South High 25th reunion, I have often wondered how you both were. Please know that I'm thinking of you and may Fran rest in peace.
