William Dupont Obituary
Worcester - William F. "Bill" Dupont, 72, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday November 2, 2016. He was born in Taunton, son of the late James G. and Gertrude (Gauthier) Dupont. He was a graduate of Worcester Vocational High School and a retiree of the Worcester Art Museum where he was the supervisor of security. Bill was an avid fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots. He enjoyed fishing and gardening - but enjoyed spending time with family most of all.
Bill leaves his wife of 51 years, Louise A. (Galeckas) Dupont; 2 daughters, Patti Dupont of CA and Mary Dupont-Brandt and her husband Joseph of Amherst; 4 siblings, Gerry, Terry, and Ronnie Dupont and Margo Remillard; 2 grandchildren, Liam and Tegan Brandt; and many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by siblings James and Shirley Dupont and Pat Bentley.
At his request, there are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Notre Dame Hospice, 555 Plantation St. Worcester, MA 01605. To leave an online condolence message, please visit

Louise, I was saddened this morning to hear of Bill's passing. He was such a nice man and neighbor to my daughter Cheri and family. The children just loved him. My thoughts and prayers are with you this day and always.

My dear Louise, Patty and Mary, I send you all my love and very deepest sympathy. I share in your deep sorrow. Such deep sadness in a valley of tears. I have never forgotten wonderful Bill Dupont, the finest neighbor/ friend one could have. I have always had such deep affection for you all who touched my hearts so many years ago by your affection, kindness and consideration.
