Roger Haskell Obituary
Born: Apr 11, 1933 | Died: Oct 8, 2025
Roger William Haskell age 92 of Lenoir City passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 8, 2025. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he moved to Lenoir City, TN in 1972 and has resided here ever since. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 62 years, Sylvia (Buckley) Haskell, his son, Jonathan and his brother, Donald. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Dana Haskell and his two grandsons, Brett and Thomas as well as nephews, David and Ron Haskell.
Roger earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and completed his Masters and Doctorate degrees at Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana. He served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1964. He enjoyed teaching at several universities including 24 years with the Technological and Adult Education Department at the University of Tennessee. He also held the position of Coordinator of Industrial Education. He was granted Professor Emeritus status and retired in 1998. He traveled with others from his UT department to more than 18 countries, examining their workforce training schemes and authored publications on their findings. He also assisted the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers as well as the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union in expanding their educational and training capabilities.
There are no services planned for Roger at this time. Contributions in his memory may be made to Doctors Without Borders. McGill Click Funerals & Cremations is honored to serve the Haskell family.
