Age 67, entered eternal life on November 3, 2015 and leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted and loving family: children, Melvon E. "Lonnie" (Veronica), Romonn A. "Ron" (Mary), Harvon L. "Red" (Angela) Nance, and Verlonda N. "Nikki" (Oliver) Smith; grandchildren, Alexander, Ke'Asia, Ke'Osha, and Lashawn Nance, Jr., and Gabrielle Smith; great-granddaughter, Harmony Nance; sisters, Jennie D. Nance Lee and Phyllis R. Nance; brothers, Robert F. (Janetta), Bishop James F. Nance, all of Nashville, and Jesse H. (Cheryl) Nance of Montreal, Canada; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nephews; aunts, Peggy (Billy) Petty, Essie Hambrick, Margaret Mason, Yvonne Holt, all of Nashville, Johnnie Galbreath, Ollie, Katherine Hambrick, Katie (Neal) Ayers, Mary Garrison, Emma Hambrick, Karen Johnson and Alma (Kelvin) Evans, all of Huntsville, Alabama; uncles, John and James Ray (Katherine) Hambrick, George Bone, all of Huntsville, Alabama; close friends, Linda Faye Jackson, Charles Jones, Mary Gooch, Frank "Boonie" Driver, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 1-6 p.m., Smith's Chapel. Visitation Monday, November 9, 2015 from 11 a.m. - 12 Noon, funeral to follow, Bass Street Missionary Baptist Church, 3447 Brick Church Pike, Pastor Daryl Thompson, Officiant, Pastor Leslie O. Davis Eulogist. Interment Greenwood Cemetery - West, "Garden of Gethsemane."

To the Nance Family, I am sorry for your loss. It brings back memories of time past when I lived with my family on Monroe Street and a alley divided our family. Those were the days, such fond moments. We lived in back of your family, the Hall's. Alice will be missed but memories of her presence will stay in your heart like those before her of loved ones. My prayers are with your family as you experience this journey that we all must endure. God Bless and keep you.

To the Nance Family our prayers and thoughts are with you during this time of bereavement. Your family circle has been broken once again but the joy is that one day it will be completed and that you will all be together with our Lord and Savior. Our families have always been close we all grew up together you on Scovel Street and us on Nineth Avenue. So stand tall and trust in the Lord and he will heal your pain and he will bring joy to your hearts just trust in him because Alice is in a far better place now no more suffering or pain.
