Grandad, I regret the missed opportunity I had to have gotten to a closer relationship with you. To know more about you and your life's experiences. I know you are in a much better place and home now, and I pray for the day that I will join you and get the chance to know you better. I love you and miss you. Until the day we see one another again, I will be thinking of you and you will always be in my heart.
Your eldest Grandson

Doyle and I had many conversations on night shifts sitting at the scopes in operations...I learned to have a lot of respect for Doyle Branner back in 1957, 1958 at the 799th in Joelton...He was liked and admired by all ..

Dear Branner Family,
My deepest sympathy is with you as you realize the loss of Doyle, your father, your grandfather, and my only first cousin, whom I loved dearly. I will always hear his voice and laughter from his smiling face, updating me on the latest Nashville news and heckling me about being a Democrat. He was a wonderful treasure, like his father Austin, my uncle.
I will be unable to come to Nashville for his funeral and to be with you, but I will be with you in spirit with warm hugs. Hopefully, I will be able to get his obituary here later. Nancy Branner Stewart, 326 Broadway Ave., Broadway, VA 22815

Dear Kim, Ted and Michael, and all Grandchildren,
We are so saddened by Doyle's passing. We have loved him for a long time. As a child, he was nearer my younger sister's (Sue) age and she would spend a week each summer with him and then he would stay about a week with us. As we all married, we would hear from your family through Grandmother Branner. After she was gone, there were years of not hearing from each other. Then Doyle came back into our lives through long telephone calls and he and Sam, my husband, developed quite a friendship discussing many sports, politics, etc. Doyle has always been someone who has had so many experiences and who knows how to have fun. I just loved to hear him laugh. He was the best rounded person I know and we will miss him so much! Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Please know he was so proud of you and loved you. While we are not able to be there for his funeral, you will be in our thoughts and we will be giving thanks for his life and for his sweetness. May God bless each of you. You are always welcome in our home! Sam and Anne Olinger
