I remember Mrs. Young very well. My sister, Judy, and I used to walk to her house to visit with Susan and Mary Ann. Your family is in my prayers.

Blanche was a sweet friend of mine. I enjoyed picking her up on Sundays for church and visiting with her in her apartment. She truly had an evangelistic heart and was concerned for her fellow residents who didn't know God in a personal way. She was a classy lady and am glad that she is no longer suffering and is with her Savior!

It was such a blessing to have Blanche for a friend. She was a beautiful lady. She loved having our Bible Study Lady's come to Rose House once a month. She always was encouraging other residents to come and attend too. She was so sweet and told us lots of stories about her family that she loved so much.
She was really looking forward to the day she would be with her precious Lord and Savior. What a wonderful time she must be having now.

My love and sympathy to Blanche's family during this time of loss.

I was truly blessed to have known Blanche. She inspired us all at church. She was a true Southern Lady. She will be missed.

Blanche and I had many hours of delightful conversation together in her care facility room. She had so many stories to tell and so much early 19th century history to instruct me about! Her southern vocabulary was a great joy to hear and she was always so concerned about my time and energy being spent on her.
Blanche was one of my greatest cheerleaders and encouragers. I don't always enjoy going to the bedsides of the elderly, but I don't ever recall not being delighted to spend time with Blanche.
I have missed Blanche since leaving Boise and can only say I am delighted with the fact that she is finally with her cherished Savior and Lord - enjoying life in Heaven like we can only imagine!
Thank you for the memories, Blanche!

What a joy it has been to know Blanche. It was not easy to get around yet she would come out to church and enjoy the fellowship, teaching and worship. Pastor Sam would make a copy of his notes in large print for Blanche so she had a jump on the rest of us, knowing what he was going to say next.
When it became more of a major effort to get out to church, Blanche would still come as much as she could and loved to be there on Mother's Day. Who wouldn't, when you are a “shoe in” for the Oldest Mother Award and probably one or two other awards? She had at least a decade on the runner up and just seemed to enjoy that distinction. She had earned it! Getting old isn't for sissies.
I can't even imagine what Blanche is seeing today. I am jealous of the sights she beholds of her glorious savior and Lord, and life beyond. Like all of us believers, her entry was based solely on her Savior's sacrifice on her behalf, experiencing God's divine mercy and grace.
