Bobby White, age 63, well known businessman of Maury County and owner of Bobby White Motors and Auto Salvage, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at Williamson Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 11 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Points and Randy Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, May 14th from 4 - 8 PM and again on Sunday, May 15th from 1 - 4 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on November 25, 1952 in Maury County, Bobby was the son of Maidlin Hardison (Gene Street) Prince and the late Robert Milton White. He married Cathy Baker on June 2, 1972. In 1973 he started his business, Bobby White Motors which inventoried over 3,000 vehicles. His customers were not only in the state of Tennessee but all over the southeastern United States. Bobby lived for his business and was a man of his word. Bobby was a people person who never met a stranger. He was an avid Nascar fan, and in his younger days he enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his Pride and Joy: Paislee MaKenna Meade who he loved more than life, and was the apple of his eye. She lit a spark in him that the world had never seen and was the child he never had. He is also survived by his sister: Terry White (Eddie "Duchin") Jones; nephews: Chevy (Susan) White, Luke (Anisha) Jones, Kevin Baker, Daniel Baker; nieces: Rhonda Sullivan Reed, Brooklyn White, Angelia Baker.

Was very saddened to hear of Bobby's passing. He was a good man and a "real" person to hold a conversation with...
Sometimes I would stop by and think about where I could find a part and he would get up from his work seat and walk over to one of the yard pictures on the wall and point to where I could start looking for it. Then he'd say, "you might find one down here in this area too. Also, if you come back this way, there should be another one near here" he'd say, pointing directly to the spot.
He had a better brain than any computer that might try to inventory those thousands of cars over there at Bobby White's motors.

He fixed our van along with his "crew" over there and last month it crossed over the 300,000 mile marker!!

We always enjoyed talking with him about Nascar or any topic that came up.... We'll miss you! May GOD take you in HIS LOVING arms and say, "WELL DONE, BOBBY!" Rest in Peace.

Our family met Bobby 16 years ago when we moved to Hendersonville TN and met Bobby, his dad and brother along with Chevy at the races. He never missed the local races. We sat close to him and got to experience his knowledge of racing and really enjoyed his company. When he did not attend the last couple of races we decided to look his number up and give him a call to see if everything was alright. That is when we found out about his passing away. We are very sad to hear this and our condolence goes out to his family that he spoke about often.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. I have known both Bobby and Cathys families since I can remember. When we were young and Bobby and Cat were dating we would wait for Bobby to come pick Cat up in his old Black and Gold Nova just so we could get him to squeal tires when he left. I know the family has a big hole in their heart that will never be filled. Probably him and Jimmy and Danny are on their way to a race. Well first of all, we have lost a great friend. Bobby was truly one of those people that you enjoyed being around. My husband started working for Bobby as a young teenager and learned a trade that has stuck with him for more than 3 decades. If you needed a job, Bobby would hire you and give you a chance to work. I know many that at some point have worked at Bobby White Motors. He didn't turn to many people down even when he probably didn't need the extra help. He was truly one of a kind and it won't ever be the same without him. Cathy, I hope you know that we are just down the road a piece and if you ever need anything, all you have to do is pick up the phone. I am so sorry to hear of Bobby's passing, he taught me so much from an early age, he share with me and others his knowledge skills and abilities about cars, he taught us a trade we would have never learned anywhere else. But most of all He showed us we could work and enjoy doing it.
