Brandon Combs Obituary

Brandon M. Combs

Brandon M. Combs, age 26 of Painesville, OH, died on September 24, 2015 in a tragic motorcycle accident.

He was born on September 27, 1988 in Winter Haven, FL, the son of Mark and Hillary Combs.

He primarily grew up in Hendersonville, TN, graduating from Hendersonville High School in 2007, and subsequently graduating from UT Chattanooga with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 2012. He moved to Ohio in January 2013 to begin work at Steris Corporation in Mentor, Ohio, launching his engineering career.

Brandon attended Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, growing up and was confirmed in the faith in 8th grade while attending St. Joseph Catholic School. He had a compassionate heart, was extremely witty, lighthearted and loved to have fun.

His life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He used his love of outdoor activities including camping, fishing, canoeing and snowboarding to connect with people, especially his closest friends.

With Brandon's passing, we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. He will be forever missed, but will always remain in our hearts.

He is survived by his parents, Mark and Hillary Combs, and his sister, Jennifer Combs West, along with her husband Eli West and daughters, Emma, Evie and Ella. He also leaves his maternal grandfather, William Ryan of Orlando, along with his uncle, Mark Ryan; aunts, Lori Ryan Marsden and Patricia Ryan Kilberg. In addition, paternal uncle, Chris Combs and great aunt and uncle, Barbara and Robert Hall.

The Funeral Mass will be held on October 9, 2015 at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville, TN.

There will be a reception following the service in the Social Hall. Anyone who would like to attend and celebrate the life of Brandon Combs is welcome to attend.

Brandon was an SME for me at STERIS. We spent a few days together photographing and filming a product. I really enjoyed working with him. My deepest sympathy to Brandon's family and friends.

May the God of all Comfort be with you during this difficult time in your lives. How we yearn for better conditions. It is comforting to know that God's (Psalms 83:18) Word speaks of a time when all sorrows will be gone and mankind will live in beautiful surroundings on earth with nothing to fear. Isaiah 65:17, 21-24

I didn't get a chance to work with Brandon at STERIS, but it feels as if a member of our family has been lost. I am so sorry for his family and friends. My thoughts are with you in this tragic time.
