Brendan would often remind me to "think of all the good stuff", whenever I was having a hard time. We should follow his advice is this hard time.

" Be kind, as everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." Plato
Brendan used to come visit us in Maine with our son, Peter. He was a kind and gentle young man, with a wonderful sense of humor, and an old fashioned politeness that we northern moms envied. It was a pleasure to have him visit. We will miss him. My heart aches for your family.

Brendan was one of the most genuine people I've ever met. He was compassionate, but never to be self-serving or ostentatious. He was brave, always pushing himself to achieve what he believed in. Perhaps what I will miss most about him, though, is how he could always make those around him laugh. Brendan was a great person and an incredible friend. I will miss him.

Brendan was one of my son, Doug Bright's best friends. He would come and stay at my house in Chattanooga sometimes when he and Doug were both in town. He was a kind and gentle soul. Always volunteering to help with anything that needed doing. Always respectful and kind. Always laughing at Doug's dumb jokes; always witty and smiling. He played with my dog or walked her when everyone else ignored her. He had a beautiful aura.
I loved Brendan.
To his family, my deepest sympathy. To his Mom, whom I met once, you raised a man among men. If you need anything that I can help with, email or call me anytime.

Brendan was a very special young man. He was one of my son, Doug Bright's best friends. Whenever they were in town at the same time, he would stay at my house with Doug. Always ready and willing to help out with any task; always smiling, laughing at my son's dumb jokes, playing toss with my dog. I loved Brendan.Didn't find out about his death until the day after the funeral....
My heart aches for Brendan and his family right now. Tess, if there is anything I can do , or you just want to talk, my email is [email protected]

My deepest sympathies go out to all who were close to him! I miss his laugh and smile. And more than that, his ability to make you laugh and smile. My heart aches knowing he can't continue to do that anymore other than through memories; which I hope we all strive to keep alive. Such a terrible loss! God Bless him and his family and friends. And may Brendan rest in peace!

Brendan McRedmond was a young man that was destined for greatness in his military career, as a citizen, and as a man. Even as a teenager Brendan displayed superior leadership skills. He was also a rare combination of integrity; loyalty and generosity to his friends and the people he loved; superior intelligence; and bravery; all wrapped up with charm and personality. He would have made General. The world is a lesser place without him. Rest in peace young man. We will remember you with fondness and respect.

In the short while that I came to know Brendan, I found him to be one of the most thoughtful and genuinely positive young men our Army is blessed with. I consider it both a deeply personal and professional loss that we were not permitted to witness the great things that were certainly in his future, but count myself fortunate to have know him. It is my sincere wish that his family finds peace during this difficult time.
