Brian was a cousin and friend to me. As the days now pass, I can't seem to get him off my mind. I keep hearing his voice and picturing him telling one of his funny stories. He will never be forgotten! The harsh reality is that a great man is gone, but his memory and legacy will live on forever through everyone that was touched by him. He will truly be missed! We love you Brian!

I moved to Louisville in 1996 but grew up in Portland. I went to school with Carrie and remember Brian as a wonderful Big Brother. I know he will truly be missed. I lost my grandfather, Capt.
Glenn Bell last year and know the pain to loose someone so dear so sudden. May God be with you and those he has touched.

Carol, Brian used to find golf balls at Dogwood Hills golf course and sell them for a quarter to me. He was a precious child and grew into a good man. I have seen him occasionally over the years. What a handsome man in his uniform. He remembered me from his youth and I am so saddened that he passed. May God comfort you and all those who mourn this honorable man.

I met Brian when he came and taught a class on Drug Demand Reduction to the Sumner County Young Marines in Jan. 08. I never met anyone more professional and passionate when it came their job and teaching kids that "Drugs was not the way to go". He made a lasting impression on the Young Marines as well as me. I met Brian at Long Hollow Baptist Church. I worked in preschool and got to experience Brian with the children. They loved him so much, he always knew how to ease the fears and hurts of the children. He was a great man and friend. HE truly loved his work and he will be greatly missed in the community. My prayers go out to his wife and family. RIP Brian.

Barb
I wanted to let you know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Our son is an officer also and I can't imagine what you are feeling and going through at this time. I just wanted you to know that the Lord will get you through this and we pray that he give you the strength that you need. Love your cousin from Tennessee - Ginnie (McMahan) Irwin.

Brian Denning was a great man. He use to come into the Mapco where I worked and get fountain drinks after a fire call and he would talk to all of us who worked there. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as they have lost a true hero.

Brian loved his life. He often spoke about his wife(always in a positive and loving manner), his job, and I never will forget the story he told me about how he successfully pulled the entire length of the course on his first attempt at a tractor pull. He was so proud, but even that paled to how excited he was when talking about his job and how they had big drug busts. He absolutely loved helping others and doing his part to make our world a safer place. He had a certain charisma where both adults and children were drawn to him. I am blessed to have known him and feel confident I will see him again someday in the house of God.
