I just attended the Memorial Service for Carolyn. It was lovely and funny...just like Carolyn! The postlude music was 'Sweet Caroline", sung by Neal Diamond.... A cheery, fun finish to a life well lived!
The Realty Trust office will truly miss Carolyn. She was a winner in every sense of the word!
Warmest regards,
Janelle

Carolyn was such a dear lady. She lived and worked hard in Williamson County. She made me feel proud and good in our profession. Amazing lady ...I loved her like an older sister.

I met Carolyn and Steve a few years ago. OH GOODNESS, how worried and anxious I was! I feared that they would see this young man, from the country, as backwards and unsophisticated. IMMEDIATELY, and without missing a step, Mrs. Carolyn (I always refer to her that way out of respect and deference) reached out to hug my neck, told me how welcomed I was in her home, and how please she was that FINALLY Jarrett had brought me over to meet them! I instantly felt at ease, and from that day forward, Mrs. Carolyn made me feel special and welcome..never forgetting to hug my neck, tell me of her love for me, and inquiring about my family and friends.
I'm not telling you all anything you don't already know about Mrs. Carolyn. And many of you knew her far better than I did. But what you may not have known is her ability to make someone who feels ordinary, less than others, or certainly not "first class" feel like the most important person in the room! Mrs. Carolyn always made sure I never felt left out, or overlooked. She would call or text me, just to check up on me, and question how I have been. And when surrounded by her friends, whom I did not know, she would introduce me and make sure everyone knew I was special to her. And I was...she made sure I knew I was special to her.
Every time I'd visit, she would make sure to hug my neck, and tell me how happy she was to see me. I've never felt so important and appreciated, for just being me. That was Mrs. Carolyn. She knew how to make everyone feel their best. To feel important and valued.
Over the years, she became someone I could talk to about anything...without fear of judgement or being put down. She genuinely loved me, for ME, and not what others might think I should be. She is someone I could genuinely call a best friend. And in my heart, she is one.
I loved going to her home, and the time spent at the Lake House with Steve and Jarrett. Everything always was so grand, and beautiful, yet done so effortlessly by Mrs. Carolyn. Holidays and special occasions were always the best, because she wouldn't have it any other way!!PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT!!!
I will miss you Mrs. Carolyn. You are my friend. Someone I feel like family with. And someone who has held my confidence and secrets. I'll think of you often, and always with a smile, because you encouraged me to be the BEST CHRIS I could be...and I won't let you down! Love you........

Carolyn loved me as only a mother could - with sharp advice, tender hands, acceptance, and a heart bigger than life. I call her Mom, and she referred to me as her adopted son. My life changed for the better when we entered each other's life, and now that she is gone, I pray I continue to be the sort of man she'd be proud to call her son.
If grief is truly the price we must pay, for loving someone so dearly, it is no wonder that I cannot stop crying, aching to talk to her one last time, and missing her more than my words can express.
