I haven't been in direct contact with any of our old neighbors in years, though did reach out on Facebook to Patricia and Lisa a couple times. The years have passed too quickly but I have thought many times during them when making trips back and forth to Nashville wondering how Mr. Charlie and Mrs. Sally were doing as well as all the kids. My dad, Estle Mayes passed away this past Jan. 7, 2021 and he always remembered the kindness shown and good work done by Mr. Wehby when we were building the house in Goodlettsville which we moved to in summer of 1971. He often would laugh saying how he had to reach out to ask that the bill for the work done by the plumbing company be sent so that he could make sure it was paid before the building funds were used up. He knew Mr. Wehby was being considerate and helpful. Mrs. Sally was the neighbor mother across the street who already had a houseful of children but didn't seem to mind an additional girl from the little house across the street to come hang out with her daughter, Lisa. She was wonderful and added light to the rather dreary opportunities I had available since my dad worked rotating shifts for the Metro Fire Dept. and my mother was terrified of driving us anywhere. Love to Mrs. Wehby as I remember her energy, dedication to family and church, and love shown to the neighborhood kids in so many ways.

I wanted to extend condolences to Pat Wheby Cole in the loss of her father, Mr. Charlie Wheby. I have not seen Pat in many, many years but
remember her fondly. Mr. Wheby certainly led an exceptional life. So
