Remembering with you your wonderful husband and Dad, Kitti and Lydia and my cousin. What a gift he was to his Mom and Dad, to you,
to all of us who knew him, and to all the people he served. I share with you in a special way this most
memorable time as my husband Tim
died on April 9th. I pray for both of you as I know you miss his tangible
presence so much and I pray in thanksgiving for Dan. Peace to your hearts. - Dorothy Coughlin

Hello Kitti and Lydia - Today as I was looking up family members for my son's work on developing our family tree, I saw Dan's obituary and was saddened to see that he had died. I am so sorry to know of this news and so saddened to know of your loss of your dear husband and dad.
I am Dan's cousin, Dorothy Desmarteau Coughlin. Dan's Dad, Louis is my Mom's brother. My Mom is Dorothy Rock. When we were young, our family would go to Tacoma and visit Dan and Uncle Louis and Aunt Margaret along with other Rock relatives. Because of my work in the field of disability, years ago I would call Dan, appreciating all that he was doing in the field of psychotherapy.
I will be remembering your family in my prayer and will share the news of Dan with other family members. Take care.

KJ and I are so grateful for the care provided by Dr. Rock when I was a resident at Vanderbilt. He was a terrific person who so obviously loved & cared about his patients and his family.

You changed my life. I will walk this earth as a different man because of you. I hope I can support and help people the way you supported and helped me.
