Dino was a great friend of mine. He rented a little two room shack across the road from me. This house had no water, no electricity, no insulation, and no bathroom. That's all he wanted, just a place to get away and write his music and play his guitar, using a Coleman lantern for light. One night the temperature was going to be well below zero, and Dino was determined to spend the weekend in the shack. It took a lot of begging on my part, but I finally convinced him to spend the night at my house. He had several gold albums stored beneath his bed and he tried to give me the one he got for Hank Jr's "Ain't Misbehaving" for my hospitality and friendship. I wish now I had accepted it. He gave me and my family an autographed photo which I am posting. Rest in Peace my Friend!! You were one of a kind and I am thankful that our paths crossed. Love ya Man!!

time to go play- I would pick up Dino in my VW van and we went to play. We played many places around our home town of MT Orab. DINO had a swagger- a gift of music.Very funny and at times an over baked ham.I loved playing with him- I loved him as a person. May God rest his wonderful soul: Mark Watson

I played in a local Mt.Orab OH. band with Dino about 1970 . Dino was a great guitar player, drummer, singer, and showman. Also had a great personality and sense of humor. I looked forward to playing with him every gig. He will be missed by anyone who knew him. Mark Watson.

Dino was a great guy. Met him back in the 70s when he was driving a delivery truck in day and playing guitar at night. He always had time to BS with the prep cooks at Max and Erma's German Village. Great guitar player and great sense of humor. Everything from "Dopey Dino and the Marijuana Brass" (even though he didn't smoke or drink to my knowledge) to Grammy winning hits with Hank Williams Jr. He also was rumored to be a mean trampolinist in high school. :-) RIP to a great guy and one helluva guitar player.

I'm just learning of Dino's passing, has caused me some tears. He has been a friend for so many years and I have done so many awesome things with him during my days in Guitar Town (as he would often call Nashville). The world has lost a true tale
