My family thoughts, prayers and love go out to yours in this time. I know he is in a better place, but now is our time to grieve, love, cherish and remember. I know I have become better man in a couple of ways just following your journey and story. For that, thank you. I am glad I can call Eric a friend....

Eric was a friend to everyone he met. With his impish grin, he accepted everyone without judgement, and made us all want to be around him more. Through Jr. High and High School, Eric kept us all laughing while showing us how to live life to the fullest. Prayers to all of his family and loved ones. He touched our lives and will never be forgotten.

The story of Eric and Michelle have penetrated all of our hearts over the last few months and although I only know them and Eric's brother, Alexander through face book, I learned to care for them no less than if we had known one another forever. But perhaps we have...for forever is made of ,"nows". And now, they all share my heart.

Our Hearts are greatly saddened to read of Eric's most untimely death. As a preteen , Eric was a frequent visitor to our house where he and our son, Robbie Arnold, would share many a midnight Monopoly game-(who needs the rules anyway when you can just argue about it)The game NEVER came out until it was time to go to bed. A ploy to get to stay up way past bedtime. When Robbie went away to school, Eric would often go to the airport with us, always dressed in his metal button laden vest, to meet Robbie when he flew home. It always took longer for Eric to get through the metal detector(removing one button at a time. After the fourth time, the attendant, finally told Eric to "Just take off the whole vest"-as by this time, the line stretched back as far as the eye could see. Needless to say, never a dull moment. Oh yes, then there was time he brought over the "mystery gift" in a brown grocery bag and set the bag on the coffee table as if begging us to inquire about its contents. Well, it seems that he has completely disassembled an electric motor(greasy parts and all) and brought all the pieces with him- to be sure that we had the project of the day. Then there was Eric's first motor scooter. Well, he could not wait to show us and he drove it from Richland Ave to Stokes Lane. After a great visit and our final words of caution, off he went toward Woodmont Blvd and right into the rear end of some unsuspecting motorist. Just one the many "teachable moments" in Eric's life. Anna Marie and I want everyone to know that Eric and the wonderful times we shared will always live in our memory. We have shared these stories with our grandchildren many times.Although our grandchildren never met Eric, they will always remember he was as one of their father's best childhood friends. We know that he grew into a wonderful man and father as he was a great kid.
You all will be in out thoughts and prayers.
