Mavis MORRIS Obituary

Born in Vancouver, raised in South Vancouver, Mavis Irene Ulmer attended John Oliver High School. Mavis moved to North Vancouver in 1949. Predeceased by her beloved second husband Chalmers, brother Fred Ulmer, and first husband Jack Wakeling. Survived by sons, Bob (Judy), Dan, daughter, Marli and stepchildren Kirstine (Mike), Stuart, Derek and Callum (Patricia), nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and lifelong friend Ron Burnham. Mavis worked as a secretary at Wagner Engineering and The Citizen newspaper. She was a volunteer in the community in her retirement years; she enjoyed her activities at Silver Harbour Senior's Centre, Keep Well and her visits to the casino. Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 12th, at 2 p.m. at Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Mavis' memory to Silver Harbour Senior's Centre in North Vancouver or to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
