George HETZEL Obituary

HETZEL, George Edward Age 82, a resident of Nashville, TN, passed away on June 29, 2011. He is the son of the late George and Sarah Bratton Hetzel of Hebron, KY. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothea (Dottie) Sensing Hetzel; daughter, Dorothea (Honey) Sensing Hetzel; son, George Edward Hetzel, Jr. and sister, Sue Hetzel Reeves of Boone County, KY. Mr. Hetzel was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. He was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and served in Germany as a Company Commander in the 101st Airborne Division. Upon retirement from Hetzel-Brinkley and Associates, he became an avid golfer. Mr. Hetzel loved his garden and all sports, especially horse racing and his Kentucky Wildcats. He was a loving husband and dedicated father. A faithful friend to all who knew him, he was truly a man of God, family and country. He will be missed, but remembered by all who knew him. Visitation will be at his home on Friday, July 1st from 4-7 p.m. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 11 a.m., at Woodmont Christian Church, 3601 Hillsboro Rd., Nashville, TN. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the George E. Hetzel Memorial Fund at Woodmont Christian Church or to the Wilbur C. Sensing, Sr. Scholarship Fund at Montgomery Bell Academy, 4001 Harding Rd., Nashville, TN 37205. MARSHALL DONNELLY COMBS, (615) 327-1111.

I personally didn't know Mr. Hetzel, but I do know his son George Jr. Good job Mr. Hetzel, rest in peace.
