Gladys Bradley Obituary

Gladys L. "Doll" Bradley

Gladys L. Bradley was born September 19, 1962 in Robertson County, Tennessee. God sent an Angel down to take Sister Gladys "Doll" home to rest on December 27, 2015 at Northcrest Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late James J. Gardner and Annie Mae Ross Gardner.

She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Fairview Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to Bridge Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member of the Usher Board. She was educated in the Robertson County School System.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Michael Anthony Bradley on April 20, 1991. To this union were born four children.

Doll, as she was affectionately known by all loved to have fun and be with her family and friends. Her favorite words were, "I know that's right, now." She had a look that let you know she was going to let you have it in her own sweet lovely way as only she could, and that laugh behind it, sealed it all the more. She had another look for those who didn't know her and she didn't care to know. You would know which look was which. She was also an avid softball player.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Fannie Shannon, Barbara Gardner and Julia Baker.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her husband, Michael A. Bradley; four loving children, Mario Gardner, Shameca Gardner, DeMarcus Bradley and Dorickus Bradley; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Ross (Ethel) Gardner and Joel Gardner; three sisters, Lois Miles, Minister Mona Brown, and Rosa L. Jones; three sisters-in-law, Jane (John) Ellis, Kimberly (Timmy) Payne and Evon Wilson; one brother-in-law, Phillip (Stephanie) Bradley; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; other family and friends. Special friends, Robert "Bubba" Gardner, Hilliary Brown, Vera Kennedy, Bertha Smith. Nadine Stone and Ida M. Kennedy.

Funeral Service were Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 12:00 noon at St. Matthew Holy Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Shaphin Martin, Eulogist. Burial was in Bridge Hill Church Cemetery, Springfield, TN. W. D. CROWDER FUNERAL HOME (615)384-7984
