Age 54, born November 19, 1960 in Pittsburgh, PA, died May 13, 2015.

He graduated from Brandon Hall Prep School in 1980. He began working with his family business, CareAll Home Health Care, where he remained for more than 30 years. He also had a passion for serving in the drug and alcohol recovery community. Other interests were helping others, cooking, grilling, 4-wheeling, collecting hot sauces, travel, vacations in Hawaii, driving his Camaro with the top down, going to eat out, watching WWE, and wrestling with the kids.

His greatest accomplishment was his marriage to Tracie and the birth of his son, Jack. His favorite times were watching him play baseball, driving him to school and enjoying their meaningful conversations. Jack was his world.

He was predeceased by his parents, Eileen and James Carell.

He is survived by his wife, Tracie, and their son, Jack Monroe; step-mother, Janet Carell; brothers, Richard Carell (Devi), Michael Carell (Jennifer); sisters, Christine Palmer (John), Eily Nicholson (Charles); step-sister, Tina McIntosh (Durand); step-brother, Jeff Ponchillia; sister-in-law, Michelle Marshall; brother-in-law, Mark Holt (Wendy); and mother and father-in-law, Carolyn and Jack Reece.

Jimmy was loved by his nieces and nephews, who enjoyed his outgoing, fun loving spirit; also known for riling them up and sending them home: Regan, Jake, and Ben Carell, Peyton, Justin, Emilie Carell, Austin Allen, Taylor and Savanah Floyd, Jack, Elizabeth McIntosh, Ashlee Warford, Dalton Ponchillia, Aaron Fazzari, Alexandria and David, Marshall, Nicolas Spicer, Lacey Holt, Gray, Nancy Keen, Carell Palmer, Hunter; and great-niece Lilah Palmer.

A funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 12 Noon, Father Joseph Patrick Breen officiating, at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday, May 18, from 4-8 p.m.

Active and Honorary Pallbearers are John McFadden, Jeff Ponchillia, Joey and Jeremy Satterfield, Mark Holt, Durand McIntosh, Richard and Michael Carell, Sangtae Chang, David Marshall, Jr., Blake Webster, John Grimes, Billy Shea, Nicholas Spicer.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Discovery Place, 1635 Spencer Mill Road, Burns, TN 37029. www.harpethhills.com

Tragic loss for our world, he was a wonderfulman that was alaways there to help others, he was a huge impact on me and my daughter,he was a mentor to her when she was a teen and she will never forget him, nor will I. Prayers to the whole family, he will be missed forever.
