James Howard Cundiff, Sr.

Nashville, TN

Age 89. February 10, 2014. Preceded in death by daughter, Billie June Cundiff & son, Michael D. Cundiff.

Survived by wife, Lou Cundiff; children, James H. Cundiff, Jr. (Angie); grandchildren, Kevin D. Cundiff, Tosha Szabo (Joe), Michael D., Jr., James B., Kellye P. Cundiff; great-grandchildren, Dalton & Alex Cundiff, & Rachel Szabo; and several nieces & nephews.

He attended Hume Fogg High School and entered U.S. Army Air Corps. He joined the Metro Fire Department and retired after 25 years active duty. He became Fire Chief for Ft. Campbell, KY Fire Dept. and retired after 13 years.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 10:30 a.m., at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road by Wendell Byrd, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as Active Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers: Metro Fire Dept. and Ft. Campbell Fire Dept.

Visitation Tuesday, 4-7 p.m., at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, Directors (615) 331-1952; Still Family Owned.
