Franklin, TN
Jerry N. "Pop" Abner, age 78 of Franklin, TN entered into rest on November 10, 2016 Born in Mt. Pleasant, TN to the late Kermit and Effie Bruce Abner. A U.S. Army veteran and career Nashville bank executive, Mr. Abner was dedicated to his family and three granddaughters, Ashley Abner, Alexandria Abner and Molly Anderson. Preceded in death by his wife Sandra Minor Abner and a brother, David Abner. He is survived by his two sons, Alan (Diane) Abner of Murfreesboro, TN and Todd (Kay) Abner of Franklin, TN; brother, Don (Maryanne) Abner; sister, Sue (Rick) Harris: three grandchildren, Alexandria and Ashley Abner and Molly Anderson. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Joe Copolo officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11AM Wednesday. A private inurnment will be held in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Gabe's My Heart (Chemo Duck) at Chemoduck.org or PO Box 129, Spring Hill, TN 37174 or at the funeral home.

Jerry was my best friend during high school,football teamate.he. Sandra Gail and I saw a lot of movies at the drive in years ago,and I remember his band. The Jumping Jacks.He will be missed by all who knew him
