Jerry Young Obituary

YOUNG, Jerry T.Age 71 of Nashville, passed away April 4, 2008. He is preceded in death by his parents, Esther and Freddie Appleton Young. Survived by wife of 46 years Imogene "Amy" Scott Young; siblings, Wayne Young (Jean), Carol Dozier (Murray), Larry Young and Kathy (Gary) England and survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Young was a member of Arlington United Methodist Church, American Legion, and a Korean War Veteran serving in the US Army. Memorials may be made in Honor of Mr. Young to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2008 in Woodlawn's Dignity Hall with Dr. John Carpenter officiating; burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at WOODLAWN-ROESCH-PATTON FUNERAL HOME, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204, (615)383-4754. A Dignity Memorial Provider.

Ms. Amy,

I am so sorry about the loss of Mr. Jerry. We lived across the street for over 14 years and could always depend on him (and you) for anything we needed.

He was such a kind and generous soul and he will be greatly missed.
