Daddy, I miss you greatly and am so glad I got to spend 4 months with you when you had your stroke last, Spring. Sometimes I wonder why I moved so far away because I missed many years that can never be recovered. I do cherish all of the years I had with you before going away to college and moving to Colorado after my marrying.

I was sorry to see that Mr. Alexander had passed away. I remember him so well from my childhood and adolescence. He managed the Library Bookmobile in my neighborhood. I was a faithful weekly visitor to the Bookmobile from age 7. Mr. Alexander recognized my need for copious amount of books, and would ofter bring books especially for me. As I got older, he steered me to more mature but very appropriate reading material. He was so kind to me, and I never forgot him. I feel the foundation he gave me in reading is still helping me be successful in life. He made me believe I was special and that anything was possible for my future. He was a wonderful man.
