Like the rest of us, I am so saddened and shocked by the tragic loss of Kathy. I was so fortunate to have befriended Kathy and to have been able to spend so much time together with Kathy, Mike, Sasha and Kristina. From 2004 to 2010, I was blessed to have spent time with Kathy and her family in their home in TN, and in Springfield, VA, and on several family trips. I was also blessed to get to know Kathy's mom, who I lovingly called "Mama G". It was a true blessing to spend one-on-one time with Kathy and to get to know her. Everyone who was fortunate enough to get to know Kathy knew, instantaneously, two things: The first is that the greatest loves of her life would always be Mike, Sasha and Kristina and the second is that she was Genuine and true to herself. Kathy never wavered in her love, her language, and her actions for her family. Kathy's true smile always came when she was looking at Mike, Sasha and Kristina. Thank you Kathy for your friendship and your example. My heart breaks for Mike and your girls. God bless you and I know you are holding tight to your Mama and looking down upon your greatest joys. You will be sorely missed by so many. I will miss you greatly. My thoughts and my prayers will be with Mike, Sasha and Kristina.

I was fortunate to know Kathy from the time that our girls were classmates / friends at Crockett. I remember one birthday party Kathy through for Kristina which was probably the best birthday party ever. Kathy was very a very nice and friendly person. Hearing of her loss was indeed a shock as she was much too young and too much life ahead of her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, particularly Kristina and Sasha who are still so young and will miss their mother greatly I know.

I am so sad to see this news. I owned Learning Express Toys and Kathy was a frequent shopper. We all loved her and the girls. She was unpretentious, kind and always looking out for her girls. She will be missed.

I met Kathy when our kids attended elementary school together. She was a devoted wife and mother who always went the extra mile to make her girls happy. She always had their backs and supported them. Kathy was a wonderful school volunteer and was always willing to help with whatever was needed. I also had the privilege of volunteering with Kathy in the children’s department at church. She gave 110% to whatever she did! I was so sad to hear of her passing! Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. She will be missed!
