Lynn Birmingham Obituary

BIRMINGHAM, Lynn Powell Died May 28, 2009. Preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Grace Powell; husband, Dr. Russell T. Birmingham, Sr. and son, Scott P. Birmingham. Survived by sons, Russell T. Birmingham Jr., J. Dean (Karen) Birmingham and Dr. Fred (Beth) Birmingham; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear friend of sixty years, Byron Burrus. Lynn was an avid gardener and bridge player and a communicant of West End United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Windmere Garden Club, Hillwood Country Club and the Centennial Club. A Memorial Service commemorating Lynn's life will be held Monday, June 1, 2009, 11 a.m. at the West End United Methodist Church with the family receiving friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the West End United Methodist Church or charity of your choice. WOODLAWN, (615)383-4754.
