Mrs. Crockett was a wonderful teacher. I had her at Shelbyville Central High in 1959-60.

I worked for five years with Ms Crockett at the TDOE. She was a sweet lady and an educator that I highly respected. I was saddened when I read of her passing in the Gallatin First Baptist Church newsletter. Her family and many, many friends are in my prayers.

I was in her Home Economics class in the early 50's. I remember her as a wonderful teacher and person. I learned sewing and cooking from her classes.

I was Mrs. Crockett's secretary at the State Dept. of Education. I truly enjoyed working for her. She was such a sweet lady that I admired so much. Through the years, I've thought about her so often. Sam, me and Danny will keep you in our prayers during this sorrowful time.

Aunt Margaret was special to me. When I was a little girl, spending the summers in Nashville with my grandparents (John Stephens) I always wanted to spent time with Aunt Margaret. She was always glad to see me. We had such fun. I always looked forward to seeing her at the Stephens reunion. My husband, Roy and I, are in Palm Coast, FL and can't be there, but we are praying for you, Sammy. You were blessed to have a wonderful Mother. May you feel God's love and comfort during the days ahead. Love and prayers, Roy and Donna Callahan Cooper

Mrs. Crockett taught me to sew and cook and be a "proper" homemaker; but more than that, she taught me important life lessons. She was my teacher in the '60's. Since then she has became my friend and my confidant. I will miss her warm smile when she opens her door and the delightful personal conversations. I'll always love you, Mrs. Crockett

Mrs. Crockett was an outstanding teacher. Had her at Shelbyville Central High school. What she taught me has helped me all of my life. I am glad I took home economics instead of Latin as it was a decision I had to make. Latin would have been helpful in my life but think in the long run, what I learned from Mrs. Crockett was more important for living.
