Nashville - Widow of the Late Robert D. Wood, DDS. Survived by devoted sons Joseph (Yvette) and Brian (Pamela) Wood and daughter-in-law, Thomasena Wood. Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and host other relatives. Family Visitation, Thurs., Dec. 14, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Capitol Hill, Rev. Dr. Kelly M. Smith, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: The Robert D. Wood, DDS Scholarship Fund, Meharry Medical College, Gift Management Services, LRC Building Suite 630, 1005 Dr. D.B. Joe and Brian I was deeply sadened to hear your mother had passed. You were indeed blessesd to have such lovely well-loved parents to teach and guide you through life. Mary would light up a room when entering in. Mary was very thoughtful and caring and I am sure her children reflect many of her attributes. May God continually bless the Wood family through out years to come. You shall always be in our heart and prayers. Love Armita

To The Family,
What a pleasure to have known Mary, Bob and the
three sons that they were so proud of.
Loved Mary because she was a true teacher and she shared so much knowledge about so many subjects.
She was also a true friend and will never be forgotten.

I don't know Mary. I just saw her photo and her smile.
I do not mean to intrude, but for some reason, her photo seemed to jump out, and it touched me.
From her picture, it immediately became clear that she was a good person, A happy and joyful person that could have been a friend. A person who changed things by her mere presence. Please accept my condolences.
As you continue to reflect on Marys life, please remember there is only one true God, and his name can be found at Psalms chapter 83, Verse 18. He is a Spirit; you cannot see him, but he sees you. He knows your pain and sorrow, He loves you, and he wants you to love him in return.
