Matthew Douglas Pate of Nashville, TN passed away April 30, 2017 at the age of 25. He was born on January 10, 1992 to David Harold & Melanie K. Pate, and was raised in the Woodbine Community. Matthew loved to go fishing, mudding, 4-wheeling and having bonfires with his friends. Many people knew and loved Matthew for the great person he always was. He will be dearly missed by his family as well as his Woodbine family.
He is preceded in death by his father David H. Pate. He is survived by his mother Melanie K. (Billy Broadbent) Pate, brother Travis Pate, and grandparents Hazel Bowman and David S. Pate.
In honor of Matthew's life, the family invites friends and loved ones for visitation Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ellis Funeral Home. A Service will be held Friday, May 5 at 11:00 a.m., in the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel, with Scott Gillon officiating. Interment will follow at Mapleview Cemetery in Smyrna, TN.
