Merle Foriest Obituary
Nashville, TN. - Mrs. Merle L. Foriest age 98, passed away on July 8, 2021 in Nashville, TN. with her loving family by her side.
Merle was born on April 20, 1923 in Florence, AL. to the late John Claude Fulmer and Zella Murphy Fulmer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of seventy years William W. Foriest and grandchild; Jenny Foriest. She was a member of Bellevue Church of Christ since 1968.
She is survived by children, Frank "Sonny" Foriest, Sue Tosh, Wade Foriest and Ronald (Pam) Foriest, grandchildren, Lara Tosh, Robert (Amie) Foriest, Nathan, Brandon and Peyton Foriest, Jacqueline, Joel Guartuche and Julie (Randy) Brewer, great grandchildren; Christine Hill, Richard, Ryan, Mia, Oliva Guartuche, Owen Hill, Gracie Brewer, Jackson Brewer and Bernard Burns, IV, brothers; Charlie (Faye) Fulmer, Jerry (Joyce) Fulmer, two dear friends; Parlee Whitley and Dot Singelton.
She was retired from Metro Schools System, working with children with learning disabilities for twenty-three years. She still keeps in touch with some today.
Visitation with the family will begin on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 9:00 am with service to follow at 10:00 am. All services to be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bellevue Church of Christ, 7401 Hwy 70 South, Nashville, TN. 37221 or 2021 Walk to End Alzheimer's Walk, Brookdale Belle Meade Team page http://act.alz.org/goto/bellemeade

merle was one precious lady and a good friend of mine!! she was sooo proud of her family & shared that pride with me on many occasions! I miss my sweet sister in Christ but we'll meet again!!!

My heart goes out to the family. My prayers for healing from such a loss. We adored Momma Foriest she will be missed by all who new her. I am sure she was greeted with open arms. Heaven was waiting for this matriarch with honor. Love you momma and I hope if heaven has ice cream...They better have good toppings.
