Nashville - Age 66 transitioned peacefully, surrounded by family on June 28, 2018. Cherishing lifelong memories of him are his mother, Cornelia Adkins; lifelong friend and the mother of his children, Avis Brown-Adkins; children LaTonya Aisha Adkins (Robert McDonald), Michael Rashon Adkins, Christopher Adkins and Austin Adkins; grandchildren, Christian, Brayden, Dylan, and Garrison "G Man"; devoted cousin Angela Turner; a host of devoted cousins and friends. Visitation Saturday, July 7, 2018 11 am-12 noon with funeral to follow at Progressive Baptist Church, 1419 12th Ave. S. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. J. W. ADKINS FUNERAL HOME, 615-292-8367.

This was a shock to me. Michael and Avis was very influential in my life growing up. I met them after he returned from Germany and the entire family. Mrs. Cornelia, God will uphold you. Avis and the children just know that "earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal". See you on the other side my friend, Love yall!
