Gallatin, TN
Age 93, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014.
Funeral service will be Sunday, 1 p.m., from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Dr. Larry Yarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens, with family serving as Pallbearers. Visitation Saturday, 2-8 p.m. and Sunday, 12 Noon until time of service.
Mr. Pryor was born February 15, 1920 in Bethpage, TN, son of the late Floyd and Myrtle Hall Pryor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Harold Pryor, Wayne Pryor, Phillip Pryor and Allen Pryor; sisters, Ruby Jackson and Ruth Doss.
He is survived by wife of 67 years, Lila Mitchell Pryor; son, Nathan M. Pryor of Nashville; sisters, Ezma Gray of Bethpage, Doris Grantham of Gallatin and Freda Hudson of Columbia. Mr. Pryor was dearly loved by his mother-in-law and father-in-law.
He served in the U. S. Army during WWII and was an insurance salesman.

I cared for Mr. Pryor for about 3 yrs. I always looked forward to seeing him every morning with those piercing blue eyes and a wide smile, but mostly to hear him saw "Howdy Do" which was priceless. He was a sweet man who was loved and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Miss Lila and Nathan Jr. God Bless.
