I can't believe it has been 3 years since we lost Nelda. I think of her every day and still miss our Sunday phone calls. The world is so much dimmer with Nelda gone!!! She was one-of-a-kind and I will love her and think of her forever. Bruce

I met Nelda 33 years ago when we performed together in "Annie." I was just a kid, but we bonded instantly and have stayed close all these many years later. She and George would travel to see me performing in tours and Nelda and I even made one of the coolest New York City trips together and we talked about it often. It was magical. George, I am thinking of you and your family and sending you love and light. I can't imagine the loss you are going through. Nelda was one of the kindest, loving, funny and most precious people I have ever known. I have been devastated since I heard the news. And although I can no longer sing together with her on our Sunday phone calls, that heavenly choir now has one of the best voices it could have ever dreamed of. Nelda I will always love and remember you!!!

I'm so very saddened to hear of my precious friend, Nelda's passing. My heart goes out to George and the rest of her family whom she adored. I've only known her for about 9 of the 89 years of her life, and she has surely enriched my life. What a joy she was and I admired her for many reasons and will never ever forget her. She will certainly be missed. May the God of all comfort and peace surround the family and may they feel our sincere love and prayers.
