Paul WOODS Obituary

WOODS, Paul Edward Age 74 of Nashville, passed away Wednesday morning, August 14, 2013 at the St. Thomas Midtown Hospital. He was a graduate of Nashville Central High School where he was voted most talkative. Paul was a truck driver for the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief for 10 years, during which time he was one of the first drivers allowed to enter the 911/Ground Zero area with relief. He was a member and former Deacon of Lebanon Road Church of Christ. Paul was inventive and very mechanically minded, and he loved the Lord, his family, friends and everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Libby Woodall Woods; his two sons, Bliss Woods (Lucy) and Trent Woods; and two grandsons, Lorne and Seth Woods. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, at the Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel, with Adam Faughn, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
