Reba Ashby PATTON

PATTON, Reba Ashby Age 91 of Huntsville, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 in Huntsville, AL. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home, Huntsville, followed by a graveside service at 2:30p.m. at Booneville Cemetery in Booneville, TN. Officiating will be Jeff Archer and Don Patton. Visitation will be Monday from 6p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Patton was born July 10, 1919 in Moore County, TN and graduated as valedictorian from Moore County High School. She was married for 71 years to the late Herschel Patton, a gospel preacher in Churches of Christ for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband; by her parents, Clarence Pitts Ashby and Elma Hart Ashby; a brother, Charles Truman Ashby, and one grandson, Randy Patton. She is survived by three sons, Gary N. Patton and wife, Billie, of Decatur, Charles E. Patton and wife Sylvia, of Lake Waccamaw, NC, Steve A.
