Survived by mother, Schronda Grimes; father, Reggie Grimes, Sr.; brother, Caleb Grimes; grandmothers, Alycia Buford, Elouise (Thomas) Pryor; grandfather, Ron Elliott; aunts, Lisa Elliott, Temeka (Ernest) Dismukes; uncles, Ron Elliott and Zachary Grimes; great-grandmothers, Dorothy Bean-Buford and Dolly Mae Grimes; great aunts, great uncles; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Public viewing Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 1-8 p.m., at Highland Hills Funeral Home, 2422 Brick Church Pike.
Visitation Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 11 a.m. - 12 Noon, with funeral to follow at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church,1238 Briarville Road, Madison, TN, with Pastor Sandy L. McClain, eulogist. Interment Greenwood North Cemetery.

It´s been 7 years now! Time really flies these days! Pride this year was fun it was one of your fav things to do this time of year. You´d make new friends and say hello to old ones. Giving everyone hugs and sharing in laughter. It is different without you. But I know you were there in spirit. Your smile still lighting up rooms. I hope you know truly that you changed my life with just a simply phrase. It´s not a failure more like a lesson. I take it with me I celebrate my small wins and I also celebrate my losses because I learn something from them. Thanks Lite Brite! Miss ya!

I was there and I pulled Reggie out. I think about him every day and it´s never gotten easier. I did my best to find him and save him but I was too late. I wish I could have done better. My sister and I met and spoke with him and his friend on the way up to the waterfall just an hour or two before. He was so sweet and kind. I just wish I could´ve saved you, brother.

Its been four years since you passed and theres not a day that goes by that I dont think of you in some way. Your personality and spirit are greatly missed. I still come visit you from time to time just to talk and update you on things. In this life we only get a handful of beautiful souls we can call family and friends and you my love were one of them. I hope and wish you all the peace in this world. I miss you dearly till I see you again. Fly high my friend. You are truly missed!

Lord! Reggie called
I can see PIECES!
I can see a ribbon without a bow.
I can see a necklace without a chain.
I can see a shirt without sleeves.
I can see a pair of shoes without strings.
I can see a frame without a picture.
What else do you see? The Lord asked.
I can see PEACE!
I can see that ribbon has become my HALO.
I can see that necklace has become my WINGS.
I can see that shirt has become my ROBE.
I can see that pair of shoes leaving ONE SET OF FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND.
And I can see that frame with a picture of me as an ANGEL.
Lord, I can see Peaceful Pieces of me. Reggie replied.

My beloved "Micka Mouse" I'll never forget all the nights you spent at my house along with your cousins. You would ask if you could have a bed sheet to create a make shift slide down my basement steps. I remember all the days you stayed at my house when school was out and your mother would tell you try not to wake me up because I worked night shift. You would enter my bedroom and stand near my bed and whisper Auntie Ursala, can I cook me a pizza? and I wouid say yes. I love you immensely.

I remember joining Hermitage Elementary. On my 2nd day you asked if I wanted to be friends. We hung out in fun company and during school, cracking jokes and playing around. The last time I saw you was in Chris Singer's class. Where yat again we cracked jokes and we had a time yelling "waka flocka".
I will miss you Reggie. You were one of the most outgoing people ive ever met in my life and you shall never be forgotten.

Only had the privilege of knowing Reggie for a little over two years. My neighbor, coworker, boss, and friend. A standup guy who showed and received respect. Will never forget those spot on impersonations. Good characters like that have good destinies. It's bigger than me.

I didn't know Reggie very well. I met him once. I would always see him around campus, and we had quite a few mutual friends and even a class together . People always spoke well of him. This is so sad and my prayers go out to his family,friends, and loved ones.
