I have known Bryan for almost half my life. He played the role of support, provider, father-figure, grandfather, example, giver, challenger, educator, instructor, subtle entertainer, and physician. It was an honor to walk along and to observe his growth journey as an evolving person and to see him open and soften. I was able to spend time at his home, on vacation, and in so many settings where his personality shone. He will be missed by many, including Alec who shares his name, loved him dearly, and learned to care for others by the example of Breanna and by holding his hand to walk with him and support him. Bryan will be deeply missed.

The world lost an amazing man the day Dr. Bell took his last breath. Dr. Bell was always a breath of fresh air. I loved watching both of his ears go up when he opened his mouth to take his medication. It reminded me of Alfalfa on the Little Rascals. Dr. Bell had the best manners especially toward the staff at The Rutherford. He would thank you for every single thing you did for him. If he didn't want to eat you could guarantee to get him excited about some chocolate or pizza. My most favorite quirky thing about Dr Bell were his funky tall socks. I love crazy printed socks also and have a large collection and I looked forward to seeing what his socks would have on them while on my shifts. Dr Bell and Dee had a beautiful marriage and deep friendship. She came to the facility regularly to eat dinner with him some days or just to sit and hold his hand while watching TV. It's those small memories that mean the most. There are residents who you fall in love with and call your own and Dr Bell was one of mine. I also love Dee and think she is amazingly strong and dedicated. Thank you for sitting beside Dr Bell diligently those last days. He knew you were there and knew you were going to make it through. Love you Dee and family.

Dee and family. So sorry for your loss. Dr. Bell was always glad to stop and ask about how my mother was doing when I asked how he was. He had that smile that was infectious. May you remember that to be absent from you means that Bryan is in the presence of the Lord!

Bryan was a classmate, friend & a leader in our years at CHS. It was so nice to see him, especially at our last reunion, where we got to visit for a few minutes. Dee, our love & prayers are with you.

Richard and Breanna, and all of Dr Bell's family. Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of your wonderful father. I will always remember him as a kind and generous man who was a great influence on me, as a friend of Richard, when we were kids in Riverview Park. I pray for peace and healing for the family with time. Rest in Peace Dr. Bell.
