Robert Lee Reese, Jr., 89, passed from this life on Saturday, December 19th, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Washington, surrounded by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mary Frances Reese, and son Andre Reese, Sr. He is survived by two sons, Reginald C. Reese and Robert C. Reese, sisters Johnnie Mae Fisher and Alice Lee, grandchildren Lia Reese, Shenika Reese, Andre Reese Jr., Morgan Reese, Sydnee Reese, Mason Reese, Carter Reese, Courtney Yoos, five great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Robert was born on November 18th, 1926 in Franklin, Tennessee to Hattie Smith and Robert Lee Reese, Sr. Growing up in Franklin, Robert attended Franklin Training School where he played football and was a member of the F.T.S. band. He entered the United States Army in 1944.

A World War II and Korean War veteran, Robert retired from the U.S. Army with over 30 years of honorable service. He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat, a Bronze Star and numerous other awards and decorations. His duties while on active service included Combat Infantry, Military Policeman and Transportation Specialist. Following discharge from active military service, Robert joined the Tennessee National Guard as he pursued his civilian occupation.

Robert worked as a coast to coast tractor trailer driver for State Industries in Ashland City, Tennessee, and later moved with his family to Las Vegas, Nevada where he continued to work for State Industries. He proudly served on the security force of the original MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, as well as the Holiday Casino Security Force.

During his retirement years, Robert enjoyed traveling, fishing and working in his garden. Services with full military honors will be held on April 15, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at the Nashville National Cemetery, 1420 Gallatin Pike South, Nashville, Tennessee.
