Sheila PRIEBEL Obituary

PRIEBEL, Sheila Jackson Age 67 of White Bluff. Passed away October 08, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Dr. William M. and Margaret Phillips Jackson. Mrs. Priebel was a retired Attorney and a U. S. Army veteran. She was a graduate of the Nazareth Academy in Nazareth, KY; received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Drury College in Springfield, MO and received a J.D. from the University of Detroit School of Law. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the St. Thomas More Society. Shelia was on the Catholic Diocese of Nashville Finance Committe and St. Christopher's Finance Committee. She was a member of the St. Christopher's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Lt. Col (Ret) Al Priebel of White Bluff; sons, LTC (R) Joseph F. Whelan, Jr. of Knoxville, Dr. James William Whelan of San Antonio, TX, Dr. Bob Whelan of Evansville, IN, David Brent Whelan of Miami, FL; daughter, Margaret Carrie Hedden of Tampa, FL; brother, Judge Andrew Jackson of Charlotte, TN; sisters, Ann Kelley of St. Louis, MO, Jane Daniel of Dickson, TN, Maureen Dickson of Oak Ridge, TN; ten grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Her remains are in the care of the Taylor Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday Oct. 12th from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Christopher's Catholic Church with Father Matthew officiating. Place of rest will be in the St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family asks please no flowers. Make memorials to the Dickson Co. Humane Society or the Breast Cancer Association.
