Tamara Fassinger Obituary

Tamara (Tami) Tinsley Fassinger

Franklin - Tamara (Tami) Tinsley Fassinger, 55, passed away on August 15, 2018, at her home in Franklin, TN, surrounded by her loving family.

Tami was born in Sarasota, FL to Burnette and Cassandra Tinsley. She was a graduate of Riverview High School, Sarasota FL. She graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1985 with a BA in Russian and from the Rollins College in 1987 with an MBA. For most of her adult life she served in various positions in the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 30 years, Glen Fassinger; daughters Leah Marie and Jenna Rae; Tasha, her beloved pooch; brother William Patrick (Patricia) of Van Alstyne, Tx, sisters Sheryl Haluska of Sarasota, FL, and Jeanette (Mike) Marcus of Old Hickory, TN; a beloved aunt, four nieces, two nephews, three great nieces, and seven cousins.

At her request, there will be no funeral; a party celebrating her life will be held October 13th, 2018 at Track One in Nashville from 7:30-11pm. Tami requested that we have a raucous party with food, drink, music and lots of laughter. All are encouraged to attend. Alums of the Owen School donated money to build and dedicate the Tami Fassinger Executive Fireplace in the Owen Library, so in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to: "Tami's Fireside Chats" c/o Dean Eric Johnson, Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management, 401 21st Ave. South, Suite 206, Nashville, TN 37203.
