Tammany Gentry Obituary
Goodlettsville - Tammany "Tammy" Jean Gentry unexpectedly passed away at home in Ridgetop, Tennessee on August 14, 2020. She grew up on Morgan Road, Joelton, Tennessee.
She graduated from Joelton High School and Nashville Technology College.
She was employed at HCA for many years.
She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ; she loved the Lord.
She was attending Robertson County Church of Christ most recently.
She was deeply loved by her family, friends, and her many beautiful Eskimo Spitz rescue dogs.
She was preceded in death by her Dad, Russell H. Gentry, Sr.; and her Mom Mary Katherine Gentry.
Survived by her brother Russ (Darlene) Gentry, Jr.; and sister Linda Hackett; nieces Mary (Jason) Hackett-Murtagh and Rachel (John) Warren; nephews David Hackett and Russell (Nan) Gentry III; five great nephews; and one great niece.
Visitation with the family will be 4 P.M. until the hour of Service at 7 P.M. on Tuesday, August 18th at Joelton Church of Christ.
Social distancing will be practiced and masks will be required.

Tammy, I miss you so much. I thought you were taking a short break because I had not heard from you which was so unusual. I feel so terrible I did not drive to your house to find out how you were doing. I hope Keeg and the rest of your beloved dogs are safe. You will always be my best friend and I will always miss you.

My heart goes out to Tammy's friends and family. Tammy was such a wonderful friend and running buddy during my years at HCA. I enjoyed our visit over dinner in Oct 2018 after not having seen her since 1992, and will forever remember the last evening of "catching up" and laughter. Rest in Peace, Tammy.

Tammany has been a dear deeply loved friend since 2003 when she rescued Jack an American Eskimo that we adopted. My heart breaks her family. Tammany is deeply missed. Pray her families truly knows what a precious person she was. Her Friends Deborah and Glenn Gibson
