I remember as a school child growing up in Nashville that loved snow (& I still do!), if snow was in the winter forecast, if it came from Bill Hall you could pretty much count on it. Loved him.

Carolyn and Family,
I offer my deepest sympathies and condolences on Bill's passing. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers.
I had the great fortune and pleasure to work with Bill at WSMV. He was a wonderful mentor and I am proud to have been able to count him a friend.
Words don't adequately express my gratitude to him for his guidance and help. I am fortunate to be one of the many lives he touched.
He was a true gentleman and will be deeply missed.

To the Hall Family,
I was so sorry to hear about Bill. We worked together at WSMV for 17 years. Bill was nice to everyone and he never met a stranger.
Since I was on vacation last week, I got the time of the visitation mixed up, and showed up at Temple at 10a.m. on Thursday morning and did not have the opportunity to make it back, because of death in my family.
Bill was the first person to ever get me to try deer sausage. We would talk often in the break room about his diabetes.
You have my deepest sympathy and prayers.
Love,
Maxine Brooks

To Carolyn and Family:
I am so sorry for your loss but know that the love of family and friends will give you strength during this difficult time. Zill touched many lives and left lasting memories. My memories of him are not so much as the WSMV Weatherman; but of the friend, who during my childhood in Spring Hill, often took me fishing at the pond, and to gather apples from the orchard. He will be fondly remembered by his Spring Hill Family. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

I'll never forget my son's excitement when he would wake and see snow outside. "Quick, Mama, turn on Bill Hall and see if Snow Bird is flying!" Sweet memories. See you soon, Bill.

I didn't know Bill Hall personally, but I remember this man giving the best weather forecast of anyone I had ever seen, because he used technology, but he also told you how the old people predicted weather, and there was something about he "willy worms", and "tree sap", and I have never seen this man's prediction be one that was wrong. I think he is the reason why my oldest son wants to become a weather man. This man was an inspiration, a motivation, and a true gem of a person. We are all blessed at having known him through his weathercast.
You have my sympathy and prayers. Mr. Hall will never be forgotten and surely has a place in Tennessee history as being the most beloved television personality. I thank God for the gift that he was to us.

Inspirational Bible Verse: 23
"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."

To Mrs. Hall and Family:
God knows there will be sorrow so He gives you tears to cry. He knows there will be trials when His children ask him ,"why"? But He's our Heavenly Father and He'll take you by the hand to lead you through the sorrow that you cannot understand. God has all the time you need. He feels the pain you feel. And He, above all others knows a heart takes time to heal. May God bless you more during your time of grief.

Bill Hall was like family to me. My cousin, Norman Frazier was the lead cameraman at WSMV for years. We would go to the hill and watch live news castings first when Dan Miller and Carol Marin and then Lonnie Lardner was there. Pat Sajak was on the weekend crew as the weekend weatherman while Bill was the weekday man. Bill was always so down to earth and humble. We will miss Bill as we miss Dan. They are both iconic to the Nashville area. I know Bill would rather be fishing then resting so I will just envision him in his fishing gear and cooking cat fish with snow bird looking over his shoulder. May the fish be biting.

At a gospel program many years ago, I met Mr. Hall. He was quiet, humble and a little shy. It was a pleasure to see someone so prominent in the spotlight with such a "down-to earth" attitude. My condolences to the family

I am saddened by the news of Bill's passing. I grew up watching him do the weather, participate in hunting and fishing shows, appearing in public on behalf of the television station that helped him become a local television icon....and through it all, enjoying his pervasively- joyful personality and good humor. There are some good and com- petent meteorologists at our Nashville stations today, but they can never be the 'total package' that Bill was to all his loyal viewers. We felt as close to Bill as if he was our favorite uncle, and now at his death, the mourning feels as if he was, indeed, my favorite uncle. Bill's family should take great comfort in knowing he touched so many people's lives in this area and will be long remembered after
the sense of loss subsides.
Famed author and humanitarian Helen Keller once wrote, "When it seems that our sorrow is too great to be borne, let us think of the great family of the heavy-hearted into which our grief has given us entrance, and inevitably, we well feel about us their arms, their sympathy, the understanding." Please know on this day and in the days ahead, my thoughts and prayers will be with his family, his friends and the thousands of fans who knew him simply as "Bill."

TO:
Carolyn, Tina, Carol Ruth & Jonathan,
"William" as we always called him was always jolly and loved to talk with me about old times. Especially Maury County STANS in Spring Hill. As I remember we as teenagers always stopped there for county ham & biscuits. On our way to the football games at Carver Smith High School in Columbia. On our way back to Nashville we waved til the next time. Then later in life he married my cousin Carolyn who then was our most loved young one. So thank GOD for all the good times and memories as William gave me away at my wedding cermony to my husband Mitchell at The Temple Church in in 1987. We as family always were so proud of his accomplishments. We told everyone all over the US our cousin was "BILL HALL" the "WEATHERMAN" on Channel 4 NBC in Nashville, TN and had his own "LAND & LAKES TV Show".
May you be comforted and know that GOD loves each of you and we as family love you dearly. "Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning".
All the family from here and afar send their unconditional sympathy and love.

Carolyn, I know it hard but have faith in God and he will guide you through it all and keep you focus. Everything will be alright. With the love of your children and family God will carry you through your grief.

Mr Hall will be missed dearly. He was such a special person a all around type of man friendly loving and caring to everyone.. When he became my neighbor back in the late 80's or early 90's I thought my daughters and I was royalty because he was a famous weather man who lived on the corner of Kings and Queens and we live on Princess. As far as the weather, there will be no weather man like Bill Hall and Snow Bird. They both will live in my home and my heart forever. My sympathy goes out to the familly! May the love of God, friends and family help you through your grief.
