Mr. Harris was born January 30, 1929, in Nashville, TN, to the late Willam Aulsie and Ruby Todd Harris and passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016. He graduated from East High School in 1946, and served 4 years in the U.S. Navy where he received additional education in instrumentation and controls during the Korean War. He began a long and distinguished career at E. I. DuPont Co. beginning his graduation night from high school and ending in his retirement in 1986. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Bill Harris to White House Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his sister Carolyn Harris Binkley, his son William Timothy Harris, and grand-daughter Hannah Nicole Harris. Saddened to hear about Bill's passing but we all know that he is with Jesus and there is no pain, no anxiety, just peace and adoration to God. Bill was a patient man who knew his Bible and the classes he taught were worth sitting in. Prayers go out to the family and remember.."blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. We love you!!

Always enjoyed attending any class that Bill taught when he,and Norma was here with us at Summerville for many years as members, and him as an Elder too. He was so knowledgeable of Gods word, and a great teacher too. Bill was a great faithful, christan man that I highly respected , and honored during the years he, and Norma was here with us. My condolence ,prayers, love, and thoughts are with Norma during this sad time for her in the loss of her beloved husband Bill.

Myra, David and I looked up to Bill and Norma. I enjoyed talking golf with Bill and occasionally playing with him. It is a comfort to know that he is now in heaven.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Bill's passing and extend our deepest sympathy to Norma and the family. He and Norma were one of our favorite couples while they were here in Summerville. We loved them dearly and treasured their friendship. Bob and Henri Bennett
